The GPFL annual meeting is in Tampa this year.

Join activists from around the state at the Green Party of Florida’s annual conference in Tampa. Learn about hot issues, meet and greet fellow party members, and help plan the direction of the party in the coming year.

On Friday, June 5, we’ll be meeting at Ybor Market for an informal pre-conference gathering.

On Saturday, June 6, we’ll meet at USF campus in the Marshall Center for a great day of reports, discussion and workshops, including these 2:

Environment/Climate Change:
Dr. Karen Dwyer, founder of Stonecrab Alliance, will be giving an update on Fracking in Florida, what happened in Collier county and how we won. Caitlin Weber of Conservancy of SW Fl will share about legislative actions we can support to make/keep Florida fracking-free.

Social Justice:
Rich Hillwig and Miguel Adams will present how to fight against mass incarceration, ending the war on drugs, school to prison pipeline and restoration of felons’ voting and civic rights.

Join us Saturday evening at Sacred Grounds for socializing and perhaps a presentation or film. (keep tabs on our FB event page)
